Voices of the South - Mapping of the RINP

Research for the Latin American Political Innovation Network (RINP). The project applied artificial and social intelligence methodologies to map the agendas of social movements in the region. The result was an internal resource that allowed the network to systematize narratives, identify opportunities for advocacy, and strengthen its transnational articulation strategy.

It is about

It was a collaborative research effort with Feeling and Extituto, proposed by Práctica, to map the socio-environmental, gender, and ethnic population agendas of social movements. The work involved the use of technology and artificial intelligence to analyze large volumes of information and systematize innovative narratives and organizational processes in the region.

We care about it because

The weakening of democracy and socio-environmental crises require the RINP to strengthen its ability to coordinate. This mapping was crucial to overcome the immediacy of the situation and recognize the commitments to care and cooperation, especially from women, indigenous peoples, and other communities of marginalized groups. It allowed the network to adopt a perspective of political ecology and put into practice a commons democracy.

We achieved

We generate a fundamental internal input for the RINP members, identifying 77 mentions of growing concern about socio-environmental and gender agendas.

Mapping strengthened the network's technical capacity to connect, systematize, and enhance innovative experiences, ensuring that regional coordination is strategic and sustainable.
