Coalitions

It consists of creating working groups between civil society, grassroots organizations, and government agents to dialogue, build consensus, and design public policy agreements for specific agendas.

It's about

It is about creating high-level working groups to produce real changes in public policy. Práctica acts as the Technical Secretariat of these coalitions; we facilitate dialogue and ensure that the agendas of the social movements we work with (such as the Waste Pickers Movement or the Metro car attendants) are translated into viable technical and legal proposals for the government.
Our work focuses on tuning the needs of grassroots organizations with the capabilities and agendas of government agencies to build consensus.

We care for

The challenges of democracy are not solved by a single actor. We believe that creating alliances and articulating different groups is the most direct path to systemic social change. This project connects the dots of everything we do, as it ensures that the community organizing processes we support have a direct and formal channel to influence the decisions that affect them, bringing territorial struggle to concrete public decisions.

We want to achieve

Through the Public Policy Coalitions for Well-Being, we aim to achieve concrete and binding changes in regulations and government programs. We also seek to legitimize the role of civil society and grassroots organizations as indispensable agents in the design and implementation of public policies.
These processes allow the political capital of social movements to be consolidated.
